Been a hectic couple of weeks

Well it has been a very busy time for me. Not only did I just receive e-mail that two more classes are starting up on Monday I have a lot going on in my personal life as well. Getting ready for hubby to leave for Boot Camp, we are going on a 5 month stay at my mother's in Orlando while the Hubby is away on boot camp since I have no family here where I am living at right now. My health started to go bad and went to the doctor's and he put me on new Blood Sugar medications. Finally I am feeling better and I have started dieting (more like eating healthier) and excersizing and I am losing the weight. WOO-HOO!!!!!! My children are on their summer break from homeschooling and things have gotten rough there because I am doing school and they are not so it makes matter 100 times more difficult. Let's see what else? Oh yeah we have a new addition to our family. We got a puppy. My kids knew I would fall in love and not want to walk away without a puppy so they convince me to just go "look" at the puppies and sure enough I fell for the trap and got one. He is a Chinese pug and we named him: Zak. He is so cute and so loving. We also went to go see one of my favorite singers of all time.... Carman! I have enjoyed his music for many years. Since the late eighties and have been to countless of his concerts. Actually my church youth group took me on my eighteenth birthday to meet him. I was a nervous wreck when I shook his hand but it was the best gift ever!! Now that I am a wife and mom I wanted my husband and kids to see why I love Carman and his music and ministry. We drove 2 hours to the location where he was at and we had the best time ever! His music was wonderful and his message even better. My husband and kids are now fans as well. Tonight we are going to go see one of my kids favorites.... BibleMan. We saw him last year and it was so much fun then that we want to experience it all over again. Well off to continue with all that I have going on. Take Care everybody!

  1. Hello Ivelisse, I am so glad for you and your family and the new addition. That puppy is really blessed. I see that you are on the right road to weight loss. I am 18, and I have struggled with weight my whole entire life. I had to have hip surgery when I was 12..I was 16/17 when I first got my period, and would only get it like 4 times a year. This year I reached my heaviest at 280, and went into a deep depression. Started the process for the gastric bypass, only to find out that I was soo depressed that I needed counseling before I could go through. So here I am with $2,000 of medical expenses, and havent gotten anything done. It really took knowing who God was, and praying to get strength. One of friends called me a couple of weeks later introducing me to this challenge. 90 body challenge. 90 days to balance, shape and transform your body the way you want. Body By Vi, a meal replacement shake. I looked at this thing..tried the product and it tasted just like cake mix..SOLD! And every since, I have been doing just that, went back to the doctors, my bmi is too low now for the gastric...my only concern now..what about all of my medical bills ...$2,000 worth? BUT GOD WILL RESTORE!!!

  2. Hi!!! I have five children... they are not homeschooled but I am in school over the summer so I know EXACTLY what you mean about it being SO much harder to go to school while they are on break during the summer! Mine are 2, 4, 7, 8 (the only boy), and 10! We also have a puppy named Queen :) I hate that your hubby will be going away for such a long time, but it's great that you have family you can stay with while he's away - things may be easier for you (school) once you get there! I grew up listening to Carman and saw him LIVE when I was a child; my mom LOVED him (still does) my whole life so we were always listening to his CDs and things. I started a weight loss challenge a few weeks ago, but I keep falling off the wagon lol At least I am getting back on, I suppose! :) I look forward to reading more of your blogs! I hope you check mine out as well!! I will be auditioning for American Idol soon :) Wish me luck!

    God bless you!!

  4. The Church is there for you. You are in my prayers. As a veteran of the military I understand the hardships of being away from loved ones. Keep the faith and trust in the Lord to get you through your struggles. Remember, "If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it” (1 Corinthians 12:26).
